Nissan Repair: 91 Pathfinder wont start, timing belt, fuel pump

Question
My 91 Pathfinder recently had the fuel pump and starter changed.  Two days later it died.  We took it to a garage to be put on the computer and they said the timing belt broke or slipped and the engine has no compression.  They told me the motor is now basicly dead.  Can anything be done short of putting in a new motor?

Answer
Well, of course Diane. Find an HONEST shop and have them tow your truck over there and have them replace the timing belt. Should be around $300. There is the possibility that there is damage to the head, but those can be purchased used for about $100 each.
