Nissan Repair: 1994 nissan altima 5 speed ignition problem?, nissan altima, clutch pedal

Question
One day I came home, turned the car off. I tried to start the car the next morning and would not start. I get lights, headlights, etc., but no click or anything from starter. I replaced starter and soliniod and still won't start. No clicks or anything from the starter. Prior to this, when I turn the car over to start the solinoid would keep making noises (chirping noise) after the car was started. This is what led up to the problem. I checked all the fuses under the hood and in the car. Everything including the battery is good. Please help!!!!Thanks.

Answer
Rick,

Check the clutch switch that keeps the car from starting unless you have you foot on the clutch pedal.  It is probably defective.  You need to replace the switch that lets current flow to the starter.  This is the one that is at the top of the clutch pedal arm.
