Nissan Repair: engine blow by, gas mileage, compression check

Hi, i have a 94 nissanesentra and im getting a lot of blow by from the valve cover, but the car runs great, still has lots of power, good gas mileage, is it possible just the pcv valve is stuck or some blockage somwhere? what are all the things i can check to make sure my engine doesnt need overhauling, the car has 127k miles on it.

If you remove the valve cover you can see if there is sludge plugging up the drain back holes.  If the paths are clear then do a compression check.  When you say blowby is there smoke coming from the exhaust.  Again, if the drainback holes are clear then you probably have bad rings.
