Nissan Repair: airconditioning, metal shavings, receiver dryer

I have a 1994 nissan quest a/c not cooling as it should. already put 3 compressors on it in the past 3 1/2 yrs. no one can seem to fix the problem they just keep telling me its the compressor. I just put a brand new compressor on 8-9-06 still is not cooling please help.

Have the system pressures checked.  I bet the receiver dryer needs to be changed if it has not.  You see, when a compressor fails metal shavings make their way to the receiver dryer and then they work back around to the new compressor and take it out again.  If the system pressures are out of wack it is either under charger or over charged or it has a blockage.  This would be indicated by a really high reading on the high pressure side and a really low reading on the low pressure side.  That would show that there is something stuck in one of the lines or the evaporator or the condenser.
