Nissan Repair: 2000 Maxima wont start., car batteries, battery cable

Question
All the warning lights come on when car is running;(batt., brake, airbag light)...
The battery is good, and starter also. But once I jump start it and drive for a while, it won't restart without another jump.  Could this be the alternator or some other issue. Please help.

Answer
Avery,

It sounds like the alternator is not putting out and needs to be replaced.  First, check the master fuses and fuse links at the positive battery cable, where it hooks to the battery.  Then take the battery and have it charged.  Now, go to Autozone or Checker and have them do a system charging test and they can verify.  It is my guess that the alternator is gone and it will take the battery with it if it is not replaced soon.  You see, car batteries are not deep cycle, which means that they do not like to be drained to empty very often.  So, get this checked soon and if you have problems email me back.
