Nissan Repair: Error code p0400 EGR valve, upper manifold, trouble code

My 99 Maxima has trouble code P0400 which is a egr valve, but I dont know where to find the valve or step to fix it. please help

The EGR is under the intake and it is a pain to replace. Remove the upper manifold and then it is easy.  You will need an upper intake gasket along with all the hoses that crack or tear when you do the job.  Be sure to change the bypass hose while you havev the upper intake off as it will be much easier to do now.
