Nissan Repair: 2002 max engine rattle on cold startups?????, rattling sound, timing chain

Question
Hi, I have a 2002 maxima 30000 miles.I love the car,It runs great. In the morning when the car is starting the rpms go up for about a second [I asume normal]then while comeing back down theres a loud rattling sound like a bag of metal marbles. The noise seems to be comeing from the front passenger side of the engine. It makes the noise once only when the engines cold then will start fine the rest of the day.If the car sits all day when Im at work at night It makes the noise again. The loud marble noise only happens as the rpms are comeing down. The dealer diagnosed it as a bad timing chain tensioner,so they changed it.It sounded better in the begining but the noise came back. Its not as loud. Before you could hear it 2 blocks away. Now its alittle less loud but still anoying. The did not change the timing chain.Only the tensioner.PLEASE HELP. The car is still under warranty,What should I do?  Thank You, John.

Answer
John,

I bet it is the motor mount as they rattle in the morning and sometimes when you shut it down.  The tensioner on the chain would have been my first assumption.  But, that was changed so we go to the second thing that causes the noise.  I would not be concerned with it if the dealer has changed the tensioner.  I have a 2000 and I love mine and the little things are not really that difficult to take.  It is a great car.  In fact, I like the Maxima more than the 350Z I have.
