Nissan Repair: 2001 Nissan Pathfinder - Fuse Issue, nissan pathfinder, fuse panel

Question
Hi Von,

I own a 2001 Nissan Pathfinder LE. I am having a number of problems as far as the electricals go.

Problem 1 - The back door (both sides) power windows LED's indicator does not lit up any more but the power windows mechanism works fine.

Problem 2 - When I switch on emergency parking light, the clock display goes off and after I switch off the engine  (after around 2 hrs) , the clock display comes back on.

Problem 3 - Some of the LED's on the main instrument panel does not lit up like LED's on heated seat switch.

I feel the problem is related to fuse but I am unable to locate where the fuses are located. I checked the fuses in the Hood and all are working fine. The owner's manual has a reference indicating the fuse box is under the passenger glove compartment but I am unable to locate it.

Thanks for reading.

Regards

Answer
Arun,

If some of the LEDs work and some don't work on the same power path then it is not the fuse it would be the LEDs.  I would check with Nissan and see if there is a problem with the lights on the switches.  And, for the lighted switches and the instruments I think they are really tiny light bulbs.  Take one of the switches apart and go to radio shack since Nissan wants $8.00 each for the lights.  The same goes with the instrument lights.  Fuse panel is on the passenger side of the dash.  Look to the side and under and you will find it.
