Nissan Repair: Service Engine soon light with a new twist, oxygen sensor, premium fuel

Question
Von;
First thing first, thanks for all the time you put into answering our NISSAN related questions. I have read all the posts in this group for past
few days and have learned a lot that I never thought I would have to learn. Here is yet another "Service Engine Soon" question with a bizzare twist.

I own a 2000 Maxima SE and have about 72K miles on it. Somewhere around 15K miles, "service engine soon" light came on. Played the usual game at
the dealership and at no cost, had them reset it at 15K, 30K, 45K, and 60K miles. The resets were done for free not because the dealership loves me,
but rather because I own three Nissans and they want my business.

I was told a variety of reasons for the light to come on, including having a bad Catalytic Converter ($2700), a bad Oxygen sensor, and the fact that I must always put premium fuel in the car (I always have)

Somewhere around 70K miles the light came on again, except this time it was not only the usual "Service Engine Soon" light, but also "Slip" light
(ABS is active), and "TCS off" light (Traction Control System is off) came on too.
With ABS active, the car vibrates violently at any speed, unless I turn off the engine, wait for a few minues, and let the computer reset itself.
The dealership is now clueless and so I took your advice, and disconnected the battery to reset the computer. This worked for a couple of hundred miles and I'm back to having all three lights come on at the same time.

It is difficult for me to believe that the "Service Engine Soon", "Slip", and "TCS off" sensors are all on the same circuit and a malfuction on one activates all three, but that is exactly what seems to be happening.

Any explanation and possible solution to this problem will be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Frank,

I personally own a 2000 Maxima SE and I had the same problem.  Mine was related to me not changing the brake fluid every two years like I should have.  You know the story of the cobbler that makes shoes but never has time to do his own?  Anyway, I bled the system with Ford High Performance Brake Fluid and the problem was gone.  And, yes I did the disconnect the battery thing to get the code to go away.  No more codes and it has been a year.  Now, I have done others where a sheel speed sensor line had been damaged by some bonehead not doing the brakes correctly or some road debris had taken a line out and that has been a cause too.  But, for me I would say if you bled the brakes you should be fine.
