Nissan Repair: 1995 Nissan pathfider stalls, nissan pathfinder, throttle plate

My wife's 1995 Automatic transmission Nissan pathfinder's stalls everytime she steps on the brake or slows down. I was going to take it to a repair shop but was hoping that you can get me an idea of what to look for before hand.

If the brake booster has a leak that would cause the problem with the stalling when the brakes are applied.  Other sources of the problem could be the throttle dampner being out of adjustment or broken.  When you let of the gas in this instance the throttle plate closes too fast and starves the engine.  Check these two items out and email me back.
