Nissan Repair: Fuse on the positive battery terminal cable, alternator output, autozone

Question
How do I change the fuse on the positive battery terminal cable? And can an open fuse keep my vehicle from charging?

Answer
Edwardo,

Go to the dealer and get another fuse to replace the open one.  And, yes the fuse can keep the alternator from charging the battery.  Now, the fuse blew for a reason so I would buy two fuses so if the new one fails instantly you have a spare.  Now, once things are operational get the alternator output checked.  Go to Autozone or Checker and they will check the system for free.  If it is overcharging that would blow the fuse or a defective battery would also cause and overload in the system.  Be sure that all connections are clean and tight too.
