Nissan Repair: Nissan Frontier alternator replacement, nissan frontier, jackstands

I would like to know how complicated is it to remove and then reinstall a alternator on a 98 Nissan Frontier XE 4 cyclinder pick-up. I was told that I needed to work from underneath the vehicle is this true?

It is easy and you do have to go at most of it from the bottom.  The nice part is it is a truck and there is plenty of ground clearance withouut jacking the truck up too much.  Be sure to block the wheels and use jackstands so it does not fall on you and disconnect the battery before you start.
