Nissan Repair: auto trans, nissan 300zx, blow air

my 86 nissan 300zx turbo's auto trans gets hot and slips,(fine when cold),no fluid comes out of the lines when removed from radiator cooler. can these lines be clogged? and can they be cleared by me?

Yes, you could remove the lines from the transmission and blow air or solvent through them to clear them.  Also, be sure to run air to blow any solvent out if you have to use any.  Then reconnect the lines to the transmission and start the car and check the level of the transmission fluid.
