Nissan Repair: Nissan 2000 Frontier Dashboard meters problem, nissan frontier, gauge cluster

Question
The dashboard meters (fuel, odometer, speedometer, temp)on my 2000 Nissan Frontier 6 cyl have stopped working.  The analog gages are frozen and the odometer is blank.  I use to only have this problem when the lights were on, but since replacing the battery it happens all the time. I have checked the fuse and it appeared to be OK.  Your help is much appreciated.

Answer
Edward,

The power feed to the instruments is dead.  This can be caused by several things.  The first is the fuse.  The second is the wire feeding the circuit.  The third is the resistor on the back of the gauge cluster.  I would start with moving a fuse of the same rating to the instrument spot and go from there.  To get to the resistor on the back of the instruments you will have to take the cluster out.
