Nissan Repair: drivers side window, nissan altima, rest work

My driver's side window will let down but not up. All other windows function properly. Can a layman repair something like this or do I need to have a professional do it? Thanks for any help you can provide. Vehicle is a 1998 Nissan Altima.

I would be thinking the master control switch on the drivers door would be the problem since you say it went down and all the rest work properly.  Remember that the drivers window is used more than the others.  The switch is cheaper than the window motor and much easier to change since even the door panel does not have to come off to replace it.  Check out rockauto.com if you can wait as they have really cheap prices.  If not there is always the dealer.  If the switch does not correct the problem I would replace the window motor.
