Nissan Repair: Fuel injection, 1988 nissan stanza, nissan stanza

Question
This is a 1988 Nissan Stanza, 4 cyl. I think it's a 1.8 litre.  Recently had a valve job!

Under exeleration there is hesitation and what feels like not enough fuel entering the engine.  For a moderatly capable person (light mechanical experience), How difficult is it to remove and clean the the fuel injectors?

Also, mice have made way into the outside air intake duct for the blower and made nests.  I have removed the blower motor repeatedly and removed debris.  Is the opening to the outside air duct accessable to install a screen to keep out the varments.

Thank you for your assistance.

Answer
Steve,

Yes, you could remove the intake rail to get the injectors off.  There are something like four, ten millimeter, bolts that hold the rail on.  I would try injector cleaner and a couple of good tanks of gas first.  On the air inlet to the blower issue there are a couple of options.  The first is to take the cover off that is in front of the windshield and install a cover there.  The other option is to put screen at each end so the rats cannot get up to the cowl box.  The wiper arms will have to be removed to get the cover off and you will see the air inlet when it is removed.
