Where is the knock sensor located in a 95 nissan altima GXE and what steps to take in replacing it?

Keith, it is on the block and it is just a matter of unscrewing it and replacing it.  But, do you have the codes that tell you that is what needs to be replaced?  I would check the codes before replacing the knock sensor as it is expensive.

Yes, the code for the knock sensor and the oxygen sensor came up when a diagnostic test was done.

Answer
Buy the knock sensor and look for the same sensor on the side of the block.  The oxygen sensor is on the exhaust pipe.  Be sure on the oxygen sensor to keep the length of the wires the same as the old one since the resistance of the wires count for the computer to read.
