i need to know how to time a 1988 nissan stanza    4 cyd and its a wagon

Answer
The decal on the valve cover gives you the timing information.  If the decal is not there check the hood.  Now, get a timing light and hook it to number one plug wire and loosen the two bolts that hold the distributor down.  Start the car and shine the light on the crank pulley and rotate the distributor to the correct setting.  Then, bolt the distributor back down.
