Nissan Repair: Replacing fuel injector for 94 maxima, courtesynissan, open flames

Question
My 94 maxima was dealer diagnosed that #5 injector is not working. They want to replace all injectors for $1,200 while they're at it.  Is this hard to do by the avearage do it yourselfer?  I have the maintenance manual for help, but no special tools. Is this really a major job as they claim?

Thanks, Jim W

Answer
If you have the manual the job is a breeze.  I would do it myself.  But, understand that you are working with gasoline so no open flames or drop lights anywhere near the car.  You can purchase the injectors from rockauto.com or courtesynissan.com and save a bundle on the cost of the injectors.  Be sure to replace all hoses and the fuel filter when you do the job.  The injectors are easy to install and be sure to get new o-rings for the job.
