Do you know how to reset the computer codes?

I do not know what year your Nissan is?  If it is a 93 or later it has OBDII and if this is the case you can get a code reader at the parts store and it has a function that will clear the codes and turn off the MIL light.  If you do not have the money to buy one go to Autozone and they will read the codes for you and probably turn off the light if you have corrected the problem.  They check the codes for free...
