Nissan Repair: Datsun 140J, mechanical fabrication, engine transplant

i got a an old (1979) datsun 140 J , it has an 1400 CC old motor and i want to buy a new one to add some action, can you help me recommend the fit new motor type for my ride

This is really up to you as you can upgrade what you have with larger valves and pistons.  And along with some porting and polishing you could double your power.  If you were going to do an engine transplant you are only limited by your experience in electrical and mechanical fabrication.  A late model engine out of a Nissan will fit if you are prepaired to spend the time to make the changes.
