Nissan Repair: Alternator replacement, coolant tank, upper radiator hose

Question
It seems like it's going to be almost impossible for me to replace the alternator myself. I have a 1990 Sentra.  I have removed the splashguards and found that the frame is blocking access.  If I manage to get to one alternator bolt, will I be able to get to the one furthest from the wheelwell and close to the engine block with a basic socket set and/or wrenches?  What else may I have to remove to facilitate removal?  Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks-MJQ

Answer
Hi Michael, It has been awhile since replacing an Alternator in a 90. I would remember exactly how if I were to look under the hood right away. But If I am remembering correctly. This Alternator mounts up front near the core support. Try removing the coolant resevoir tank. Should be 1 or 2 10mm head bolts. Then you can get to the Alternator front bolts. and remove the adjusting bracket. 12s or ,14mm. 1 plug in at alt 1 ground 8mm or 5/16 and probably a noise suppresor fot the Am radio here with a broken wire. Through it in the trash. Big hot wire held by a 10 or 12mm.The Back bottom single bolt is down low and is a 12 or 14. When belt is off and adjuster bracket I think Alternator can be carefully squeezed under Upper Radiator hose without removing it. Drain the coolant and take it off if you have a problem here. remove Alternator and out where the coolant tank mounts. Remember to disconnect your battery first so you don't do ant 12 volt welding.
