Nissan Repair: 1999 Nissan Sentra, nissan sentra, battery terminal

Hi - can you give me some ideas as to what may be causing this problem.
My dashboard battery light and emergency light are lit and stay lit.
1999 Nissan Sentra
4cyl
4 door
60k miles.

The wire on the positive side of the battery terminal, you have the actual battery terminal.
Then you have two individual wires that go to that battery terminal.

One should be black
one should be white

It is the WHITE wire, it is either corroded or LOOSE.

IF corroded.  You must change the WHOLE positive side of the battery terminal.


To do this you need to replace the battery cable.  When you purchase this new cable it comes with two extra connections to splice those wires into.

If not, then the white wire has to be redone.  Redoing the white wire, by cutting the bad part off, then splice the wire into the positive terminal.

This should solve your problem.
