Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: gas gauge, fuel tank level, oldsmobile silhouette

I have a 2000 Oldsmobile Silhouette Premiere.  My gas gauge is not working properly.  Is this an easy fix or is it pricey?

It could be the fuel tank level sensor.
It could be the instrument cluster (gauge)
It could be the PCM (computer)
or ANY wiring to and from any of these items.
I would suggest having it properly diagnosed so needless replacement of good parts is not done.
