Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: changing spark plugs, changing spark plugs, inner fender

Question
QUESTION: I have a 2000 olds bravada and I need to change the spark plugs.  Where are they located?  are they easy to access?  or is it going to be difficult to do myself?  My car is getting awful gas mileage and i have not had a tuneup in a while and thought this would help.

ANSWER: Hi
The plugs are located 3 on each side about half way down the motor.
They are rather difficult on the drivers side.
If you have ANY doubts in your ability, I always say to take it somewheres, and pay to have a professional do it correctly the first time. It COULD cost you more in the long run, if something does not go right for you and you have to pay later.
You may want to take it to a tune up shop, or car care center an have a good major tune up put on your truck.
Plugs, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor, fuel filter, air filter.
I Hope this helps

QUESTION: Thanks for the quick response.  Is there a special tool/wrench that I need to use to get them out?  I was told that I could take off the tires on the front and possibly get to them that way?

Thanks for any help.

I am pretty handy when it comes to the car..I just have never done a tune up.  I do my own oil changes and brakes have already changed the fuel filter ect.

Answer
Hi
No special tools.
You can access the plugs through the inner fender well (removing the tires) and accessing it through the small plastic flap...you'll see.
The center plug on the drivers side is located DIRECTLY behind the steering shaft.
You can just unbolt the shaft and seperate it. You;'ll see the bolt right there, just slide the shaft apart.
IF POSSIBLE put some sortof lock on the steering wheel, so it does not turn.
I seperate the shaft and do the entire left side.
I would also recommend the cap and rotor.
It as you know is not really that hard.... I just never know peoples abilities when writing here to them.
