Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 2000 Olds Alero, olds alero, alero

Question
My 2000 Olds Alero brights stopped working and the service car soon came on. I turned off the car and light went out but as soon as i tried to use my brights they didn't work at all but when i go to turn them on the light turns on again
Is this because it's cold out or a wiring problem?

It is probabally either the BCM, or the bulbs.
I would advice you to take it to a good repair shop your familiar with and have the codes retrieved from the BCM.
That will aid in diagnosis.
I have seen the bulbs fail and cause this.
I have seen the BCM fail
I have seen the dimmer switch itself cause this.
