Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Oldsmobile parts, olds alero, chevy malibu

How difficult is it to find Oldsmobile parts, since Oldsmobile's are no longer made?  I am considering buying my son a used Oldsmobile for his first car and I need to know if it will be able to be repaired if something happens to it.

Depending on year, parts are still READILY avalible and should be for some time.
Most GM vehicles, again depending on year and model, are basically the same across brands.
eg.... A 2001 Pontiac Grand Am is BASICALLY the same as a 2001 Chevy MAlibu  and a 2001 Olds Alero.  They are all "N" bodies that is the 4th digit in the VIN is an "N".
So ALOT of parts, other than external body parts and interior trim, are the same for all cars.
And this is just GM.... When you start dealing with aftermarket parts (like from NAPA, Autozone, etc...) they have full selection and avalibility also.
