Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 2003 Alero Engine will not turn over, correct position, alero

Will theftlock system cause the starter to not work? It was tested and is fine. All fuses and wireing are good. Replaced the battery recently. Radio display not working. No blinking theftlock light.

You MAY have a bad Park nuetral position (PNP) switch.
It is located as PART of the shifter assembly.
Does the shifter indicate the correct position (park, reverse, drive, etc...) See if you can start it in Nuetral, or another gear.
If the Security is NOT flashing then it is NOT the problem.
Does the light come on for a few secs and go off? If so, thats normal bulb check.
Check that battery AGAIN.  MAKE sure. Batteries are VERY common to test good one time and not again.
