Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 199 buick regal Plenum, manifold gaskets, vacuum line

Question
Hello,
I have a 99' buick regal 3800 V6. Up until the past 2 weeks it's been a great vehicle. Then it just stopped running. Initially my mechanic said it was the fuel pump. The fuel pump has been replaced and still didnt work. Since then I have come to find out about the plenum issues with these cars... and have since changed the upper and lower manifold gaskets, the upper plenum, new spark plugs, coils, and changed the oil twice in past 2weeks to try and save it. After changing the upper plenum last night it actually started and sounded better than ever but after a test drive around the block the car was turned off and then wouldn't start again. Any ideas... pretty annoyed at this point.

Answer
Hi
Dont get annoyed yet...
First would be to double check your work, just make sure everything plugged in etc...
Next idea would be to pull a plug or 2 and see if they not coolant fouled.
I am just saying this NOT knowing the order or when you replaced plugs (I see you had).
Did you replace them 2 weeks ago, with out replacing plenum. I Guess what I'm asking, is COULD the new plugs gotten fouled BEFORE last night?
How hard was it to start? Did it smoke white excessivly?
If so I would consider plugs.
Next would be basics, fuel pressure, spark to all plugs, etc..
Check compression on the front 3 cyls.... just to make sure.
I know it started and ran good, but there IS a reason it will not start now.....this is what we need to find out.
I really would guess plugs, UNLESS you replaced them AFTER the job yesterday...then I would double check ALL your work
eg.. connectors wires, vacuum line, throttle body etc...
Please follow back if needed.
