QuestionI need to know where the fuel filter is so I can replace it. My car went out on me four weeks in a row. I originally had electrical problems - from the alternator and cables to battery then starter, and lastly the AC compressor which locked up the engine and snapped the belt.
Now that all that has passed and been replaced, now it won't start. Sounds like it is not getting gas. The engine turn over without issues, the starter and battery is still strong. Just no fuel going thru. I figured I start with replacing the fuel filter first. Can you point me in the right direction? I really appreciate it.

Sorry to hear about the problems. Sometimes seems like there is no end in sight.
The fuel filter....
Usually the fuel filter problem will present itself by loss of power under load, and missing at high speed. i wouldn't expect a fuel filter to all of a sudden keeping the cat from starting.
That said, the filter is probably located in front of the right rear tire, on the inner side of the frame.
Now, what I would like to know, is if the fuel pump is running.
When the key is turned to run, the pump in the tank should run for two seconds. it should do it even if the filter is 100% plugged. You may need to get back there and listen while someone else turns the key to run. But if it doesn't run, a new filter won't help.
If it doesn't run, check the fuel pump fuse, which may be marked inj, since it powers the injectors also.
If it does run, the next step would be to test the fuel pressure, and to make sure there is power to the injectors.
And make sure there is spark....the fuel could be fine, but no spark----no run.
