Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 92 oldsmobile wont start, coolant temp, oldsmobile 98

Question
I recently purchased a 1992 oldsmobile 98 regency front wheel drive 6 cylinder 3.8l
after it has been running for more than a half an hour or so and the engine warms up it won't start after you have turned it off. the weird part is if it sits for an hour it will fire right up.
when it won't start it turns over but just won't catch.
it has plenty of fuel pressure and the pump is working fine.
i have already replaced both the coil and the control module     because it had 12 volts to them but no spark
after replacing these parts it still won't start after the engine has been running for a while.
i`m boggled as to why it still has this problem and have gone beyond the knowledge of both my brothers

Answer
Hello Benjamin,
I would test the coolant temp sensor.
See this:  http://www.chevytalk.org/threads/showflat.php?Cat=0&Number=1685353&an=0&page=0#P...

A temperature induced intermittent open is a possibility, but I would expect it to be dying, rather than just not restarting.

And make sure the coil and control module have voltage during cranking, not just with the key in run.
