Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Replacing Ball joints, replacing ball joints, buick skylark

Question
My girl friend has a 94 Buick skylark custom with the 3.1 liter v6. I talked her in to moving in with me so I could let her use my new truck to go back and forth to work. She can not drive her car because when she gets up to 45 it feels like the driver side front wheel is going to fall off. If she is going 40 and turns the wheel just a hair it does the samething. I am guessing it is the ball joints but am not 100%. I was wondering do you think that could be the problem and how many hours does it call for and do I need any certain tools? My job has come across so problems so I am trying to take her and pick her up from work which is really hard with my job. I was wanting to order the ball joints from rock auto online and do it as soon as possible myself. Hard to pay someone to do it right before christmas. If it is not to much trouble please tell me the best thing I should do. ty   Anthony Renew
