Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 87 buick lesabre wont start, neutral safety switch, blown fuses

Question
i have an 87 lesabre v6 and i turn the key with a new battery installed and it does nothing.  the ignition lights come on and the radio and that is all it will do.  i hope you can help me.  thank you

Answer
There is a neutral safety switch on the steering column, above the brake pedal.

The ignition switch is another possibility, as well as loose wire connections, and the starter itself.

I'd check for blown fuses first, then start checking for voltage getting to the starter.
