Hi Van,
here is the problem: my car (oldsmobile 1992 Custom Cruiser) doesn't start... trying to find fuel pump - no luck... looks like fuel pump doesn't work because when I'm starting car no noice in tank and no cas in pipe. What advise can you give me?
Thanks a lot,
Levon.

Answer -
Hi Levon,
First check the fuel pump fuse, then the relay, and before removing the tank, check to see if power is getting to the pump connector. Full 12 volts.
Sure may be needing to replace that pump though.
One other quick thing to try if the fuse and relay are good, is to lay under the tank area, and just as someone turns the key to run, smack the bottom middle of the tank with your palm about as hard as you can. That will sometimes jar a stuck pump into activity, but if it works, you will probably need to replace it soon.

Answer
They change locations occasionally, but they don't really try to hide that fuse.
It should be in a fuse block, or the convenience center.
Doesn't that car have a fuse block in the glove compartment?

There is also a relay for the pump, but I am rather sure it is in the convenience center under the hood.
