Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Air Conditioning, joe lawrence, flow control

Question
We have a 1997 Olds LSS.  The air comes out by the front window and under the dashboard.  The air doesn't come out of the 3 front dashboard front vents or anything in the back.  The air conditioner has not been repaired.  We want to know why the blower don't work on the 3 front vents.  We purchased the car new and has approx. 125,000 miles on it.  What little air that comes out is cold.  We would appreciate any information you could give us.  We are retired and if possible would like to fix it ourselves.
Thanks  Joe Lawrence

Answer
Hi Joe,
Not a blower problem, but rather, a flow control door problem.
Weather your doors are controlled by vacuum, cables, or little electric motors i don't know. But whatever controls the mode door isn't working.
The door may just be stuck. Try bumping the heater housing.
