Answer -
Hi,Cindy

What is the pump pressure?running and ign on,also has the fuel filter been changed?replaced that if it has not.

ED
pump pressure is only 20 fuel filter has been changed.  is there something that needs to be done to the fuel injectors after replacing a fuel pump?  my husband talked to the part store and they gave him another fuel pump to see if the other new one was the problem, we are putting it in today.  thanks for your help. cindy

Answer
Cindy

Fuel pressure is to low,it needs to be 41 to 47 psi on key up,running pressure about 3-10 psi less, either there is to much fuel return, the fuel pump pulsator is failed{thats the larger diaphram inline to the pump},the strainer at the fuel pump is plugged or not installed correctly, attempt to pinch off the fuel return line, thats the smaller line and see if pressure comes up to normal.let me know.
