Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1991 Olds Ciera 3.3L, crankshaft position sensor, olds ciera

Question
Vehicle runs a few miles and then quits. cranks an won't restart till cools down a few hours. New fuel pump and filters installed. Ignition control module tested and checks out OK. HELP!

Answer
Hi,Lee

Sounds like you have a failed crankshaft position sensor, its pretty common to have these fail when the engine gets warmed up.also and ign module will test good when cold, check that also when its hot, what you can do is when the engine stalls and fails to restart, pour cold water over the ign module and see if it will start then.
