Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 99 Buick Lesabre throttle sticking, throttlebody, buick lesabre

Question
Hi,
I have a 99 Lesabre that the throttle sticks in idle position. When I press on gas pedal, I have to apply a lot of force. I'm afraid that I am going to break the linkage. Does not happen all the time, about 50%. TPS is ok. cables are ok.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

Mike

Answer
Hi,Mike
It sounds like the throttle blade inside the throttlebody may be gummed up with excessive carbon,i would clean the throttlebody blade {butterfly} with a throttlebody cleaner such as gumout or simular solvent,as you spray the solvent move the throttle as to free up and carbon, let me know if you need more help,Thanks
