Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: heat, olds cutlass supreme, bleeder valves

92  olds cutlass supreme.  heater core replaced.  heat only baaarely warm.  two bleeder valves one at thermo, one at water pump.   how do i get all of the air out of system?  have removed radiator cap to do this...didnt work. filled up with both valves open...didnt work.  bottom heater hose not hot.  gets hot doesnt stay hot.  same with bottom radiator hose. mechanic who did core replacement no help.  i know a little about cars.  please help me.

in your case start the car up when it is cold you need to burp the system.

now first take off the rad cap when the eng is cold start the car up and let it run on till collint starts comeing out of the rad. then shut the car off and fill the rad .
Might take a couple of times.
