I have a 2000 Buick Lesabre. The front passenger side power window does not work. I bought a replacement motor/regulator assembly and it still doesn't work. I have also replaced the passeger door module. When the window switch is pushed I can hear a clicking sound coming from the door module. Any suggestion?

Thanks,
Mike
Answer -
both the power, and the ground for the passengers door goes through the drivers door switch first.
Don't count on the body for ground. The power and ground are reversed to change direction, and the only way to do it is switch both.
You can unplug the connector from the passengers side switch, and check the drivers side switch from there. Too long a proceedure to type in here. Find a manual with the test proceedure....possibly at the public library, refference section.

If the door module is "clicking" when the drivers and passenger switches are operated wouldn't that mean that power, ground etc. is ok into the module? Is there a way to test power from the module? Or am I "on the wrong track" here?

Thanks,
Mike

Answer
Hi Mike,
Hard to say what might cause a click.
Proper operation, but a bad motor.
Proper operation but a bad connection.
Improper operation.
Bad switch shorting out the system and tripping the circuit breaker.
Circuit breaker worn, and unable to carry the load.

I would follow the troubleshooting chart.
