Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: POWER WINDOW OFF TRACK, mechanical link, drive mechanism

I HAVE A 2000 OLDS INTRIGUE AND THIS MORNING MY BACK DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW CAME OFF IT'S TRACK.  I CAN PUSH IT BACK UP BUT IT WILL NOT STAY.  THEY ARE POWER WINDOWS AND I AM WONDERING HOW DIFFICUT IT WILL BE TO PUT IT BACK ON TRACK, AND HOW TO GO ABOUT IT.

Hi Patty,
The inside door panel will have to come off, and that may be about the hardest part.
The drive mechanism may be a ribbon of plastic, which is not all that difficult to replace.
If it has a mechanical link, it may have just come disconnected.
At any rate, the door panel must come off, so do that much, and see where to go from there.
