Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1999 olds 88 3.8l v6 blown upper intake manifold, upper intake manifold, intake runners

Question
Hello, this car had a hole in the plastic plenumn where the EGR pipe goes thru it. Most of the coolant went into the intake manifold and cylinders. I changed the plenumn/gaskets as well as the lower injector o-rings,spark plugs and cleaned up the coolant in the lower manifold. The problem is that the car won't start. It acts as if the plug wires are crossed when cranking; new plugs wet with fuel and some coolant so I double checked the routing with the labels on the coil packs. They are from the top down looking from the front of the engine: top coil 6,3 Middle coil, 2,5 and last coil 4,1. I noted the intake runners and upper plenumn were coated with what looked like slimy carbon. What have I overlooked? Thank you for any help you can give.
Regards,
David

Answer
Hello David,
Sounds like it is hydro locking, from coolant still in the cylinders.
Remove all the plugs, and crank the engine over a bunch.Stop, and spray some carb cleaner in the plug holes, then crank it some more.
if possible, blow some air into each cylinder through the plug holes, then crank it some more.
Now install the plugs and try it.

Also, did you check the oil for contamination?
