Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 93 buick stalls, degree thermostat, engine temperature

Question
My 93 Buick stalls after running about 10 minutes.  It only happens in the summer.  Doesn't always happen.  Usually happens at idle or slowing down.  Some times will restart immediately.  Sometimes cranks but sounds like a flooded carburator (although it is fuel injected).  Will eventually start again.  Alternator replaced and thermostat lowered to 180 since this has statrted.  If I run for about 10 minutes and turn off the engine for 5 minutes it may or may not start.

Answer
You NEVER EVER install a LOWER degree thermostat in a computerized vehicle. What happens is that the engine temperature sensor is seeing a colder engine temperature and is emitting to much fuel into the engine thru the injectors thus causing the engine to flood and foul out the spark plugs.

Install the CORRECT thermostat and check the spark plugs for being fuel fouled and replace if tey are.
