Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: stalling, hesitating, tpi engine, buick lesabre

Question
i have a 93 buick lesabre 6 cyl fwd 3800 tpi engine. i ran it low on gas 1/8 of tank, wouldnt start. put 3 gals in tank and started, but ever since it continues to stall. changed fuel filter, but still the same problem! any ideas? (easy ones) lol            thanks

Answer
Hello Lori,
Fill it at least half full. Try to not let it get much below a quarter. It needs fuel to keep the pump cool and lubricated.

I would probably check the fuel pressure at the test port.

Just a remote possibility, and cheap and easy. Disconnect the battery for a minute, and see if some memory comes to life. I have seen that correct a no-idle problem before.
If you have a delco-lock system, follow the instructions to either dissable it or put in the correct code before unhooking the batt, or the radio won't work.
