Tom:  I have a 94 Buick Roadmaster.  There is no click sound when ignition key is turneed and the engine does not start.  Battery fine, dash lights, radio, hheater, fine, etc OK.  Moving car, shifting tree up/down seemds to do nothing.  Key in, key out, shake bake - nothing.  Then out of the blue car starts when key is insertedand, turned nornmally, and engine starts and runs fine.  What is going on?

In most cases such as this, the problem is caused by a fault within the starter solenoid and or the starter itself.

You can remove the starter and hand carry it into most any larger auto parts store and they will test it for you for free.
