Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: Pulsing lights, buick rendevous, alternator problem

We have an 03 Buick Rendevous. The headlights and instrument panel lights pulse slightly. What could this be?

This depends on the AMOUNT of fluctuation that you have. If it is BARELY noticeable and it occurs ONLY when the A/C compressor ENGAGES and DISENGAGES, This would most likely be NORMAL and nothing can be done about it due to the sudden amperage draw caused by the A/C compressor operation.

However, This could also be a sign of an ALTERNATOR problem.

Have your local dealers service department advise you accordingly by having them perform a simple test procedure.
