Questionfirst of all i have no idea what or where ta put the tester light... i just saw that people with diff vehicles had asked similar questions and were told ta use a test light... and to answer your question yes i can get one... but then what?

hi i have a 1990 olds regency brougham 98 and my car wont start.... when i turn the key it makes no noise but all the dash lights and radio work... never had a problem starting before and my battery is 1 day old so i know thats not the problem. I looked under my hood and didnt see a starter anywhere... a friend told me ta tap the starter but i dont see it and also dont think thats very safe.... i dont have any tester light so what should i do to troubleshoot my problem? i am working with a limited amount of money or i would just have it towed to a mechanic somewhere.

You can't afford a $10.00 TEST LIGHT ?.
If this is the case, Then there is NO WAT we can do ANYTHING.

AnswerOnce you have a test light, I can DRAW you pictures of where your starter is located and where to attach the test light to and how to test for battery voltage at the "S" terminal on the starter.
However, BEFORE you purchase the test light, see if it will START in NEUTRAL. If NOT, You will need to contact me at:
