Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 1990 Buick Electra, buick electra, dash vents

Question
Our car has the problem of something that sounds like a "fan" that runs after the engine has been turned off and continues intermittently for some time. We have just had the computer replaced because it completely melted inside. Are these issues related and what else can they check? We're concerned that we will need to again have the computer replaced if this other problem isn't corrected. We have also replaced the radiator, no change in the "fan" sound. It has about 90,000 miles. Thanks

Answer
Your going to have to listen to HEAR where this fan noise is coming from. Is it the FAN for the A/C-Heater system that blows air into the interior of the vehicle for the dash vents, floor vents and defroster vents or is it the FAN for the radiator ?.

Without knowing WHICH fan you are referring to, Most cases like this are a result of the FAN for the A/C-Heater system and you will need to replace the FAN CONTROL MODULE usually located next to the FAN for the A/C-Heater system.
