Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: 92 LaSabre transmission problem, buick lasabre, speed overdrive

Question
I have a '92 Buick LaSabre, 3.8, 4 speed overdrive tranny. I have a problem with the overdrive gear of my tranny. When it engages, if there is any resistance (as a hill, etc.) or if I attempt to accelerate quickly, the car with buck intermittently. It resembles that of a slipping chain on a bicycle. It will lose grip (without revving high) and then catch again. I release the gas pedal completely and then press firmly in a quick manner in order to get it to shift back into the drive gear. I've had many cars with bad trannys in my life. This isn't the classic slipping that I've experienced before. There is no delay when starting off. It doesn't slip in and out of gear while being driven. It only happens in overdrive and it feels like (in a way) I'm in the 5th gear of a manual tranny car going about 20mph and trying to excellerate. My car has 126,000 miles. The tranny fluid was last changes at about 105k. The car's engine runs well, but could use a tune up. Other than that, It's just my tranny problem. Thanks for your help.

Answer
hi kevin, sounds like either the cable from the trans to the eng neeted on the front of trans near the radiator.there is a square plug there unplug this drive car if does not do this then leave unplugged .and this is the most common probs .if these do not help, then suspect transmission. good luck billymac
