Oldsmobile/Buick Repair: trunk release, child safety locks, power door locks

Question
96 buick century 3.1 liter, the trunk release push button quit, the anti-lock brake light is on and the back up lights won't work ,this all seemed to happen at the same time,I have checked the fuses and bulbs, is all this connected somehow and also the power door locks work fine on the front doors but on the back they don't even click, this has been a problem before all the others, thanks

Answer
hi gj,well the trunk release button and the back up lights could be related.but not common.when you put your car in gear a switch on the transmission moves with the shifter at the point where the trans goes into gear .the switch turns the back up lights on.this part is called a neutral safety switch.the trunk button has prob come unplugged behind the switch or at the trunk .the abs light is most likely a wheel sensor.the power door locks.if your car has child safety locks on it then the power locks will not unlock them either on some cars hope this helps please vote for me ty billymac
